INTERACTIVE COMMUNICATION PROCESSES

An important condition for urban development plans and public space development plans, which are being developed within an existing context, is in the view of the office that the plans should be widely supported. The interaction with residents, users, entrepreneurs, but also with civil servants and stakeholders, is therefore an important point of attention from the start of the planning process.
The office is convinced that formulating design principles, developing scenarios and making investment decisions should be organic processes. After all, it concerns a broad and complex force field. There is a lot of local knowledge and expertise available to residents, users, entrepreneurs, but also to the municipality, province, region, water boards and housing associations, which can be of importance in the planning process. They can cary and support the transition of the area and possibly also participate in it or even invest in it. They can make an unexpectedly powerful contribution to the restructuring process.

The interaction with residents, users, entrepreneurs, but also with civil servants and stakeholders, is therefore an important point of attention from the start of the planning process.

Such interactive communication requires a suitable organization within the planning process; in idea carousels, and workshops, preferably held in a beautiful place in the plan area, involved residents, users and entrepreneurs, civil servants experts and stakeholders, are specifically asked for input.
Other events may be developed to stimulate the active participation of residents. Social media can play an important role in such planning processes; they can be used to form a new "community".
The office assumes the role of booster, inspirator, organizer, chairman, facilitator and critical conscience in these processes.
The plan-related steps are small and are presented in an accessible and promotional manner.
