In 2000, Bas completed the Garden & Landscape Design course at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences. After his education, he landed at MTD landscape architects in the role of technical designer and involved in the technical development of various inner-city redevelopments.

After a period of wandering at various municipal organizations and technical design offices, Bas returned to MTD landscape architects in October 2017 in the position of technical advisor.

As a technical advisor, he is involved in project preparation and implementation supervision and Bas fulfills an advisory role between the client and MTD, as well as between the client and executing parties. Guaranteeing the translation from design to implementation is always central to his work.
