Erik van den Akker BSc

Erik graduated in technology and management at the National University of Applied Sciences for Garden and Landscape Design in Boskoop. He then worked as a project manager and technical management consultant at Adviesbureau Riede. Erik is a doer and a maker. Erik has been working at MTD landscape architects since 1998 as a project leader / senior consultant. Erik has since participated in many project groups and since 2012 he has been a guest lecturer at the HAS in 's-Hertogenbosch.

Projects; Center Beek, Bergeijk, Cuijk, Hoorn, Tilburg and Valkenswaard. Previously Koemarkt Purmerend (winner Bouwpluim 2010/2011), center Venray (winner Best Small City Center 2011-2013 and winner Best Public Space 2012). Catharina Hospital Eindhoven, Maasland Hospital Sittard, Jeroen Bosch Hospital 's-Hertogenbosch and Elizabeth Tweesteden Hospital in Tilburg. Station squares Maastricht, Venlo and the entrance area of Eindhoven Airport. Roof garden and surroundings of the Booijmans van Beuningen collection building and many greening projects, including the Limburg Water Board Building in Roermond. University grounds (re)design Tu Eindhoven, Tilburg University and VU Amsterdam and extensions with roof gardens in cities such as Amersfoort, Amsterdam, Nijmegen, Rotterdam and 's-Hertogenbosch.

Erik has the gift of actually making a design come true. With his technical knowledge, his insight into the processes and his programmatic thoroughness, he knows how to win over many for the best solution and the highest possible quality.
