Lisan van der Wielen BSc

landscape designer

Lisan graduated from HAS University of Applied Sciences 's-Hertogenbosch in 2015 with a degree in Landscape Design. During her studies she did an internship at MTD landscape architects and did a Minor in Graphic Design in Finland. Her graduation projects have been published in a special of the Blauwe Kamer; Education and research (4/2015). After graduating, Lisan started at MTD landscape architects as a landscape designer.

Within the office, Lisan is involved in projects at different scale levels. Creating master plans, visions, sketch designs, preliminary designs, final designs and planting plans are her daily activities. She also likes to make visualizations and 3D images of the projects to fully involve the client and interested parties in the design. Lisan has been an internship supervisor for the design interns for a number of years. She enjoys transferring the knowledge she has gained during her studies and work experience at MTD.

Lisan has worked on various projects within MTD; For example, she contributed to the landscape design for CenterParcs Zandvoort and CenterParcs de Eemhof, the design plan for the campus of the VU in Amsterdam, the Stationsplein in Zandvoort, the design and planting plan of the public space for Eureka! Breda, the design of the public space of the Faamterrein in Breda, the design for the public space by Djept Veldhoven and the design for the public space and roof gardens of the Humperdincklaan Eindhoven. Lisan played an important role in the Melk & Noot project, with which MTD became one of the winners of the Bread & Games design competition organized by the CRA in 2018.
