The redesign of the Rechterstraat is a sub-project of Boxtel Binnen de Bruggen (BBdB), an overal plan to tackle the entire center of the village in phases.
The presentation explained who was spoken to and what choices were made in the process to arrive at the final design plan.
The historic character of the Rechterstraat will be reflected in the choice of natural stone, so-called "dommel format" in the middle runner and street brick (Boxtel mix) on the side. By organizing the street, functions such as bicycle parking, loading and unloading and the trees are given a clear place in the profile. The historical profile is supplemented, where possible, with the return of water in the form of a new inner dune. Contemporary objectives of greening, heat stress and climate adaptation are integrated in this way in the establishment.
