MTD acquires assignment for VU Amsterdam

October 26, 2017

After two selection rounds, MTD landscape architects / urban designers received the assignment to redesign the campus of the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. This responds to the area development of Zuidas as a whole. Campusplein, the heart of the campus, will be made suitable for large events, but also for security and informal encounters. There will be good connections to the surrounding infrastructure, with logical routes for students with and without a bicycle. The campus will be accessible to everyone and thus become a welcoming calling card that invites you to meet, inspire and exchange knowledge. The faculties participate in the design process and are thus involved at an early stage. The project will be completed in 2019.
