An inspiring, innovative and colourfull 2016! MTD landschapscape architects / urban designers wishes her ordering parties, colleague offices and other relations a beautiful 2016 with a lot of inspiration and innovation. The office looks forward to a new year with numerous chances and projects in home and abroad. MTD landschapscape architects / urban designers looks back on a very busy and enervating year, in which several special projects were acquired such as the development plan for Station square Maastricht and a design for the entrances to the bicycle shed under the square, the development plan for Station square Wijchen, the development plan for the beach entrances of Texel, the development plan for the surroundings and roof garden of the collection building for Museum Boymans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, the structure plan and development plan for the fortress at Muiden, the development plan for the boarding area at Binnendieze/Museum quarter in ’s-Hertogenbosch, the design of Visbrug (bridge) in the city centre of Dordrecht, the layout and image quality plan for Cuijck's village centre and the widening of the N279 north as part of the De Vaart Combination. In addition, MTD completed and delivered a number of beautiful projects, such as the waterfront of Uithoorn along the Amstel, the first phases of the redevelopment of Ermelo and Epe's city centres and the Zuiderzeezicht look-out point at Zwartsluis, parts of the Green walk of TU/e, the layout of Thales High Tech Campus Systems Park in Hengelo, the layout of Zuiderpark and the Stadswalzone (rampart zone) in ’s-Hertogenbosch, and the first phase of the wooded garden of ’t Brouwhuis in Oisterwijk. A number of staffers left the agency and many new faces joined to strengthen the team at MTD; Sabine van Ruijven, Jop van Beek, Willem-Jan Ras, Lisan van der Wielen, Ruud Linders, Paul van den Berg and right at the end of the year, Laurie Korsten. In 2015 the agency won a number of awards and also received laureates and nominations; the Zuiderpark / Stadswalzone in ’s-Hertogenbosch in partnership with Studio Leon Thier and Van Roosmalen Van Gessel architects was nominated for the 2015 Schreuder Award for underground construction and for the Falco 2015 Best Public Space Award, and won the ESPA 2015 Gold Award for the most sustainable parking garage; the Thales High Tech Campus Systems Park in Hengelo in partnership with LKSVDD architects and Reitsema & partners architects won the Public Award for the BNA 2015 Best Building of the Year, and was selected for the 2015 Yearbook for Landscape Architecture and Town Planning. In addition, ’t Brouwhuis in Oisterwijk in partnership with Bedaux & de Brouwer architects and INAMATT interior architects won prizes and was awarded 1st prize in the category Private Housing BNA 2015 Best Building of the Year. In short, lots of good things to look back on and even more to look forward to! MTD landschapsarchitecten wishes all its clients, relationships and fellow agencies a beautiful 2016 with lots of inspiration and renewal.
