Office excursion Hamburg

Like every year, MTD landscape architects went on an office-excursion on 18, 19 and 20 september; this time the trip went to the city of Hamburg.
Along the road to Germany, there was a stop in Hengelo to visit the Campus of Thales, a project of the office which recently received the Public Award for the BNA Building of the Year 2015. MTD made the masterplan and design for the public space, but was also responsible for the technical design and the project management.
Of course there were a lot of highlights to visit in Hamburg, which the office visited by foot or bike. Like HafenCity with its park designed by van Vogt, the embankment with the stairs of Zaha Hadid, the Elbphilharmonie Concerthall designed by Herzog & de Meuron (which still isn’t completed), the historical storehouses and the Elbetunnel with its special Art-Deco elevator-towers.
Besides all the architectural highlights there was time to discover the nightlife of the city but also the hotellobby of the beautiful 25hours Hotel.
All combined a weekend to remember !!!!!
