Nicolas graduated in 2015 from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, specializing in garden and landscape architecture.
He decided to continue his studies in landscape architecture at Wageningen University. During his studies he gained experience as a designer at Alterra (Wageningen University and Research), Nicolas also worked as a landscape architect in Belgian design firms such as Studio Basta and burO Groen.
Nicolas' ability to think analytically at various scale levels ensures that in every design assignment the characteristic qualities of a place are translated into a timeless design where cultural-historical contexts, sustainability and landscape identities form the carriers. Nicolas has been working at MTD landscape architects since 2018 and is a passionate designer, but also fulfills the role of project leader in various complex assignments. His main goal is to translate development visions into executable design plans and he always tries to have this take place in very diverse team compositions to guarantee integrality.
